In the second half of Chapter Eighteen, we see Olivia and Ethan continue to work together to synchronize their immortal gifts while Asgard and Madeleine chase a promising clue. This was a delicate scene to write as I had to carefully weave in Olivia and Ethan’s emotions in order to build up to what is to follow. Bring Me to Life by Bulletproof Messenger is the perfect song to reflect the tense energy of these scenes, particular Olivia’s realization of her growing feelings for Ethan.
